Scratch tonight...so let's move on...

Okay, then. So, OMSI After Dark is most likely a no go since it was pointed out in the comments of the last post that it was probably last week (which was the fourth Wednesday of the month) and the website makes no mention of anything happening tonight. Sucks!

But never fear!! We shall be doing something.

So...the question is, when is a good time for you all? I'm thinking...a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, either next weekend or the weekend after...a nice city walk from the book I mention two posts ago. I'll have to dig out that book and see what walk would be a good one to do. And I'm the kind of person who would do it rain or shine. :)

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm only on call MWF and have no other regular commitments other than my Tuesday afternoon/evening dance class. :) Rain... depends on how much. Misting/sprinkling, yes. Raining/pouring/lots of wind with it/other, not so much. I've only lived here 5 years, still working on my webbed toes. ;)

Ooh...dance class? What kind of dance class?

Okay! Well, I'll make another post with a proposed weekend/time/walk.

Lyrical jazz. This studio didn't have any official "adult" lyrical classes so I'm actually in the 12 and up, which is wreaking rather a lot of havoc with my body-image issues, being in a room full of pre-teens... *sigh* But it's clearly time for me to deal with said issues (everything in my life is pointing that way), and though I missed a month or so of lessons I've worked it out with the teacher (who is made of awesome) and... the girls seem to have missed me! I think I've spent so much time feeling out of place and trying to stay "out of their way" (my "default", if you will) that I think I missed how sweet they are. Nice kids. :)

There are two major issues for me, really. The first is obvious - full-length mirrors on the wall that we work in front of and I do not particularly enjoy seeing all of my rolls that clearly all the time. (finally wore something loose yesterday, since I know my teacher won't mind, and that helped - I suck at the obvious). The second is kind of more insidious - I danced from age 4 straight through my first year of college, but it's been over 10 years and about 120 lbs since then, so there's this knowledge of what I used to be able to do and "should" be able to do - and what I actually can do falls far short of that. *sigh* This is only a level 2 class, so it doesn't matter as compared to the rest of the group, but it still makes me crazy. >:p

I can totally see how that would be hard if you danced for that long!!

Still...kudos to you for getting out there and doing it, even if it's not ideal.

I'm pretty busy this weekend, but I'm totes free the one after that. Later afternoon is better for me (3-4ish) because I'm usually sleeping off my grave shift in the morning/early afternoon on those days. working over the weekend suuuucks, let me tell ya. x_x
